The R&R U13 Memorial Hockey Tournament is a special event dedicated to both celebrating youth hockey and supporting the R&R Empowering Society of Alberta. The inaugural tournament took place in February 2024 in Lac La Biche, thanks to a partnership with the Beaumont Amateur Hockey Association. We owe the success of this event to the hard work and dedication of Erin Madu and Carmen Thompson, the driving forces behind its organization.
This year, the tournament expands to Nisku’s Silent Ice Centre and Beaumont’s Ken Nichol Arena, bringing together 36 teams from across Canada. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to play Canada’s game, all while raising awareness and funds for the R&R Empowering Society. We’re excited to showcase the talent and sportsmanship of youth hockey while continuing to support our mission.
