The Mill Craft Bar & Kitchen hosted us for another incredible event and fundraiser on August 9th, 2024. The evening featured a delicious meal prepared and served by The Mill, alongside entertainment from The Grande Dueling Piano show. Our live and silent auctions were a huge success, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, our generous sponsors, and of course, Tasker, Carolyn, and the entire staff at The Mill Craft Bar & Kitchen for their outstanding support.
We hosted our 2nd Annual Goalie Camp in Edmonton from July 19-21st, 2024, sponsoring 34 goaltenders to attend. The camp provided both on and off-ice training, with sports performance trainers from Level Up Wellness Group offering valuable guidance on mental health in sports and life. A huge thank you goes out to all the sponsors who supported our goalie camp this year—their generosity makes a world of difference for our youth goalies. We are already looking forward to next year's camp!
The inaugural R&R Memorial Tournament took place in Lac La Biche in Feb 2024. The tournament was hosted by the Beaumont Minor Hockey Association (U13 Group). The tournament was host to 18 teams from across Alberta and into Saskatchewan. There were 4 tiers with medal winners in each divison. Thank you to the organizers and sponsors of the event and for donating a portion of the proceeds to the R&R Society.
2023's Ladies Night was an epic Barbie themed event with food, drinks, prizes and of course dancing! The event is supported over 200 women who hold the R&R Society in their hearts. With the support of these ladies and our sponsors, this event continues to be our biggest fundraiser every year. The support we receive through this event helps many of Alberta's youth play sports and enroll in the activities they are passionate about.
We teamed up with the Mill Craft Bar & Kitchen for an evening of dinner, drinks and dancing, courtesty of The Grande Dueling Piano Show. The R&R Empowering Society was the recipient of a portion of the proceeds from the event. We are so thankful for everyone that organized the event and everyone that attended for supporting us. We are proud to use these proceeds to support our young athletes and enthusiasts in Ryder and Radeks names.
Our 1st annual R&R Goaltending Camp was held on July 22 & 23, 2023 at the Terwillegar Community Rec Centre in Edmonton. We sponsored 24 youth goaltenders for a weekend of on and off ice training and brought in speakers such as former NHL goaltender, Joaquin Gage, Edmonton Oil Kings Broadcaster, Andrew Peard and 2022/23 AJHL Coach of the Year, Shawn Martin. Ladies night in Whitecourt is an annual R&R Empowering Society of Alberta fundraiser. With amazing entertainment by Court Jester Dueling Pianos, appetizers, drinks and desserts plus a live and silent auction and a raffle table, this event sells out within a few days. Watch for our 2023 Ladies night date to be announced and get ready to get your girls together for an epic night out in support of the Society and kids across Alberta.
Our inaugural Edmonton fundraiser at Hart's Table & Bar took place on Saturday, September 24, 2022. We took this opportunity to introduce Edmonton to the R&R Empowering Society of Alberta and were so pleased to sell the event out. Through ticket & merch sales, a silent auction and donations, Edmonton came through in a big way and we were able to raise over $20,000 for the Society.
